STATEMENT
Skin, bone, and the flesh in between harbors connotations, consequences, and souvenirs of personal history. My work intends to explore and extract these ideas, observing them, oftentimes, through a lens that comments on the societally constructed imbalance between men and women, and my relationship with the former. In creating sculptural work, installations, and films, I create portraitures of the gore of girlhood. Beyond these explorations, my work often employs a more playful aesthetic in discussing the intersections between gender fluidity, ego, sex, and performance.
